| Hey! Over here! Shiny new blog ahoy.
Okay, the ahoy was pretty unenthusiastic.
AHOY!!!
Was that better??

PS - I suggest y'all join me?
| Argh so bored. Although that should be obvious since I'm actually posting on here for the first time in FOREVER.
Bloc Party was freaking wicked, and even though I'm in love with the singer (but not that in love, as he's gay and all), I'm probably even more in love with the drummer. Adorable. Anyways, they put on a great show, and even the openers (who I'd never heard of until that day) were pretty freaking excellent as well.
But back to the boredom. I've spent the last half hour looking at Chilliwack-related stuff on Wikipedia. Did you know that there's a serial killer from the Wack? And a supermodel? Plus a CBC anchor and a Nobel-prize winner. Annnnd did you know that Mr. Willers teaches science at Sardis Secondary? PS - the cafeteria is a popular lunch time hangout. Just so you know. I pretty much find all this hilarious! Silly Chilliwack, silly wikipedia.
Speaking of boredom, I also get up to crazy hijinks at work. On my break on Sunday, I was working with the manager, and I needed to give her my availability for April. Clearly, I've got to write it in a series of haiku. (Haikus? Haiki?) Clearly.
EUROPE IS COMING UP SOONER THAN I THINK. It's actually a bit insane to think that in 3 months or so I'll be off on my own somewhere in the UK. CRAZY. But, superexciting too. Then, it's on to Vancouver for UBC-ing and new-basement-suite-ing, so that's ridiculously cool. Visit meeeee!
Well, my good friend Stephen Colbert is on tv, so despite the fact that I actually have exciting things to talk about, I'm off to go check that out instead. G'night!!

| This is a spider:

These are spiders on drugs.
I lol'd so hard. "For more information on the crack spider's bitch..."
Good times.

(PS I'm totally the caffeine spider.)
(PPS I'm totally educated and watching foreign films! Gasp! Seriously though, this movie is wicked awesome. Also? Three words. Gael. Garcia. Bernal. SO HOT.)
| Well, this is a pretty exciting night, considering it's my last Saturday before school starts again.
Okay guys, that was sarcasm. Feel free to laugh at me!
Seriously though? I went to a thing at my brother's girlfriend's house, met her family, went to superstore and bought notebooks and stuff for the semester, then came home and listened to music and chatted and cleaned my room. Like I said, pretty exciting stuff.
But, that's enough of my myspace emokid woe. Christmas was pretty wicked, other than the fact that I worked a lot. I got to visit with my aunt and her crazy 80-year-old fiance, so that was fun. Plus, her son (aka my cousin) came for Christmas too, so it was great to get to see him. (But holy crap, he's 37?? He's always been in his 20's....clearly I didn't realize that it's physically impossible for him to stay in his 20's, when I'm practically 20 now. Still, really weird.) I got a digital camera, so I've been playing with that a lot, plus I got the wickedest lifesize Johnny Depp, so that's hot. (Argh, I sound like Paris Hilton when I'm bored. For serious, kill me now.) As an added bonus, I also got Doctor Who Series 1 (of the new series, with the 9th Doctor...I've gotta buy the second series in February when it comes out, but it's expensive), so I marathon seshed that, and fell in love with my second Captain Jack (Harkness), aka John Barrowman, who's tragically a) married, and b) gay, so I lose out on both counts. Still, he's beautiful, so he's fun to look at. The show is so fun, and cheesy, but it's amazing what they can get away with on a show that's supposedly for children. (Gems like :"Trust me, you're not his type. I'll distract him...don't wait up." And, "But you're naked...where were you hiding that?" "You really don't wanna know." Seriously, Captain of the Innuendo Squad is right.) My uncle also gave me a wicked cd, from one of the bands that sort of came out of another band that I love (The Libertines). This band is Dirty Pretty Things, and they're supergreat. (The other band is Babyshambles, but I haven't heard as much of their stuff.) I love how pretty much nobody has heard of the bands that I really love. Oh well, that's just how it goes. Check any of them out if you get the chance.
New Year's was fairly decent, I just went to a little shindig at Richard's. But not at his house. Just so y'all know. Haha, good times were definitely had, although it doesn't really compare to last year's. It got the job done though, and it was cool to hang out with everyone, since that practically never happens anymore, and I made a wicked resolution, which involves GIVING UP on my infatuation with Boy, so that's cool. Really, it's about time. (That was the general consensus.)
Well, that was freakishly longer than I was planning, and I think I'm off to bed now, as it's like 93% for certain that I get to watch Pulse tomorrow, so I have to make up for the sleep that I won't be able to get tomorrow night, haha. G'night!

| Wow, it's been a ridiculously long time since I've posted anything here. My poor little neglected blog. Sigh.
Pretty much, I've been crazy busy with work and school. As in, 30 hours at Starbucks and 4+ classes a week, plus homework and occasionally even sleeping. Now I'm done with school for the semester, other than one last exam (theatre, hooray), and it's RELAX TIME. Also, time to get back into running. And I've got a bunch of black and white grad pics to put into frames, and books to read, and movies to watch, and I'm pretty much still going to be busy, but at least it'll be with stuff I want to do, instead of conjugating the preterit of Spanish verbs (este semestre, yo aprendí hablar español). Maybe I'll get my first tattoo over the break. Who knows?
I pretty much killed my English exam this morning (yesterday morning?), and the same goes for my Spanish exam Thursday. Unless I've totally lost it, and I only think I did well, when really I failed horribly. But, that's not the Christmas spirit, so I WIN AT EXAMS until proven otherwise. hooray?
Hmm...clearly, my life isn't exciting enough, when I haven't posted anything in 3 months and it's still hard to find stuff to write about. Let's see...I'm not moving to Kamloops, that's a big bit of info. Instead, I'm going to UBC in September, so that should be wicked. Plus, the money I'm "saving" by not living in Kamloops for 4 months is definitely going towards a trip to Europe (British Isles, to be specific) at the beginning of the summer, so I'm fairly stoked for that. (And by fairly stoked, I really mean I'm so excited I could cry. Seriously, it's intense.)
Speaking of Europe, I'd like to give a shout-out to the random Ukranian who's been reading my xanga. I'm not trying to scare you off, I think it's totally awesome, even if it's a little random, and hooray for the Ukraine. I think there are a couple people from England, Ireland, and Alberta ("one of these things is not like the other..."), so hi to you guys too. Randoms are all kinds of fun.
Alright, I think that since I'm now writing to people who may or may not even exist, and who I definitely haven't ever met, I'll take it as a sign that I'm out of things to write about. Maybe tomorrow will be more exciting than today. But I highly doubt it. (Today's exciting rating: I'm gonna go with 9ish/12.5 = I got awesome notes on my final English essay, I cashed my paycheck, I tried a green tea latte for the first time EVER despite the fact that I've worked at Starbucks for about 8 months, and I had a stellar omelette for lunkfast/brunch at Milestones). G'night!!
The future Mrs. James "Daniel Craig is the sexiest 007" Bond Courtenay xoxo
(PS - Yeah, I've seen Casino Royale, and I'm pretty sure if it were possible to impregnate someone through a movie screen, Daniel Craig could do it, and that someone would be ME. He's just...beautiful. And his man-shorts? A+++. The h-core-you-know-what-scene-I-mean-ow-ow-OW-and-yet-disturbingly-hot?-scene closeish to the end? A++++. Plus, he's the only James Bond who's made me cry, so that earned him some major points. Okay, shutting up now.)
(PPS - I registered for courses the other day, and if anyone's taking Spanish 102, Geography 102, English 209, or English 225, let me know so we can be ubercool and actually know someone in class. Okay, so I already know people in my classes, but still. LET ME KNOW, OKAY?)
(PPPS - Maybe I should stop reading Dinosaur Comics? Because seriously guys, I'm starting to talk like T-Rex in real life. This is TOTALLY AWESOME in a way, but it also worries me a bit. Y/N?)
